Designed for large-scale continuous production of biomass, biochar and charcoal. Ground biomass or forestry waste first passes through a dryer to bring moisture content below 15%, then enters a continuous carbonization chamber, a syngas heat-breaking chamber, a rotary drum cooler and a tar/vinegar removal system suited to barbeque, sheesha and tandoor charcoal — running 24/7. The chamber typically yields 32–35% biochar/charcoal, 35–45% torrefied biomass, 30–35% syngas, 20–25% vinegar and 5–10% tar, with vinegar and tar oil condensed and recovered from the process. The carbonised product is then cooled by a rotary drum cooler, followed by a crusher, mixer and charcoal briquette machine, depending on the end-product required.
