CBG (Compressed Biogas) Plant Manufacturer in India

Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants convert agricultural residue, cattle dung and organic waste into purified, high-pressure biogas usable as automotive or industrial fuel — part of India's growing waste-to-energy push. Proveg Engineering builds CBG plants from feedstock intake through digestion, purification and compression.

From organic waste to compressed, usable fuel

A CBG plant digests agricultural residue, cattle dung or organic waste in an anaerobic digester, then purifies and compresses the resulting biogas into a high-pressure fuel. Proveg Engineering configures the digestion, purification and compression stages around your feedstock source, volume and intended end-use.

Why choose Proveg for a CBG plant

  • Runs on agri-residue, cattle dung or mixed organic waste
  • Digestate byproduct usable as biofertilizer input
  • Modular design, scaled to available feedstock volume
  • End-to-end coverage: digestion, purification and compression

Equipment covered

  • Feedstock Pre-treatment Unit — prepares raw feedstock for digestion
  • Anaerobic Digester — generates raw biogas from organic feedstock
  • Biogas Purification / Scrubbing System — removes CO2 and H2S from the raw biogas
  • Compression & Storage Cascade — compresses and stores the purified CBG

Production process

  1. Feedstock collection & pre-treatment
  2. Anaerobic digestion
  3. Biogas purification (CO2/H2S removal)
  4. Compression & storage

Applications

  • Agri-residue-rich regions (crop belts)
  • Dairy farms & cattle-dung-based projects
  • Municipal / bulk organic-waste processors

The digestate left over from a CBG plant is a valuable input for our Biofertilizer Plants line. View our full product range, or get in touch to discuss a CBG plant project.

CBG Plant FAQs

What feedstock does a CBG plant need to run efficiently?

Agricultural residue, cattle dung, food and other organic waste can be used, either individually or blended. A dependable, consistent feedstock supply is the main factor in sizing and planning a project.

What happens to the leftover slurry / digestate?

The digestate left after biogas extraction is a nutrient-rich byproduct that can be processed into organic fertilizer — see our Biofertilizer Plants page for the equipment used to turn digestate into a saleable fertilizer product.

How is CBG different from ordinary biogas?

Ordinary biogas is used largely as-is, close to where it is generated. CBG is purified (impurities and CO2 removed) and compressed to a high pressure, making it usable as automotive or piped industrial fuel, similar to CNG.

What plant size suits a mid-size dairy or agri-processing unit?

Plant sizing depends on available feedstock volume, consistency of supply and intended end-use of the CBG. Share your feedstock source and volume so the project can be sized accordingly.
